The focus is to chase the Northern Lights, alongside enjoying everything you’d expect from a cruise, including entertainment, leisure facilities, port stops with bookable excursions and so much more.
The dates of the cruise have been specifically chosen as one of the best times to see the Northern Lights, with no moonlight interference and the equinoctial effect where the tilt of the Earth better connects with the solar wind, creating a magical Aurora experience. We’ll even rearrange schedules and possibly dining times to ensure guests are ready to see the Northern Lights at expansion phase which is where they are most vibrant and dynamic with pillars, ribbons and movement.
Chasing the Northern Lights is all about timing, and with Wil’s impressive track record of seeing the Northern Lights over 300 times and helping tens of thousands of people see the Northern Lights at expansion phase thanks to his broadcast channel, you’re in for an extraordinary and unique experience!
Along with chasing the Northern Lights, our ship’s course has been cleverly charted to maximise chances of whale watching whilst on board, with experts ready to share their tips and give insightful specialist talks.
That’s not all, we’ll have professional photographers running photography workshops, plus astrophysicists who will unravel the mysteries of the universe - from stargazing basics to mind-blowing astronomical concepts.
Oh, and did we mention the cruise coincides with the spectacular Orionids meteor shower? Get ready to be wowed by shooting stars as we stand on deck, basking in the stunning celestial fireworks.
