I am incredibly excited to finally reveal the full details of our Antarctica expedition.
On 15 November 2028, we will begin an unforgettable journey to the Antarctic Peninsula—and for this adventure, we have privately chartered the entire World Voyager.
This will not simply be a group joining another cruise. The complete ship will be exclusively ours, allowing us to create a unique expedition for our community.
Alongside Quark Expeditions’ experienced polar Expedition Team, I will be joined by my own team of astronomers, photographers and special guests. Together, we will offer an additional programme of talks, photography workshops, practical help, social events and shared experiences.
More than 400 people have already joined the priority list, so suites will be allocated on a strictly first-come, first-served basis when bookings open.
A 5% deposit is required to secure a confirmed booking. International flights are not included.
The expedition
Our journey begins in Buenos Aires, where one night’s hotel accommodation is included before we fly south to Ushuaia on Quark’s private charter flight.
After boarding World Voyager, we will sail through the Beagle Channel and begin our crossing of the legendary Drake Passage.
During our time around the Antarctic Peninsula and South Shetland Islands, we hope to:

- Make landings on the Antarctic Peninsula
- Visit penguin colonies
- Look for whales and seals
- Walk through spectacular polar landscapes
- Photograph glaciers, icebergs and wildlife
- Learn from Quark’s experienced polar specialists
- Experience the scale, beauty and silence of Antarctica
The precise route and landing locations cannot be fixed in advance. Weather, sea and ice conditions will guide the decisions made by the captain and Expedition Team each day.
That flexibility is part of a true Antarctic expedition: every voyage is different, and unexpected wildlife encounters can become some of its most memorable moments.
Arrive in Buenos Aires and make your way to the designated group hotel. One night’s accommodation and breakfast the following morning are included.
Transfer to the airport for our private charter flight to Ushuaia. After arriving in the world’s most southerly city, we will transfer to World Voyager and begin our adventure.
As we cross the Drake Passage, Quark’s Expedition Team will begin its programme of presentations, briefings and wildlife watching.
We will explore by ship and Zodiac, with planned shore landings whenever conditions permit.
Each day will be different. We may visit penguin colonies, walk through snowy landscapes, cruise among icebergs and search for seals and whales.
Our return journey provides further opportunities for wildlife watching, presentations, photography and time together aboard the ship.
After breakfast, we will disembark in Ushuaia and transfer to the airport for our included charter flight back to Buenos Aires.
This is an expedition itinerary. All routes, landings and activities are subject to weather, sea, ice, wildlife and operational conditions.
Our private charter
World Voyager will be exclusively chartered for our guests.
Having the entire ship allows us to create something much more personal than an ordinary group booking. In addition to Quark’s official expedition programme, we are planning our own varied programme around the voyage.
This may include:
- Wildlife, astronomy and photography talks
- Practical photography workshops
- Smartphone and camera tuition
- Image-review and editing sessions
- Informal question-and-answer sessions
- Special guest presentations
- Social events and special evenings
- Help and support from me and my team
The final programme will be developed closer to departure and arranged around landings, Zodiac excursions and wildlife encounters.
The expedition will always come first. If whales appear or an unexpected landing becomes possible, our onboard plans will happily change!
You do not need to be an astronomer or an experienced photographer to join us. Some guests will arrive with professional equipment, while others will bring a phone—or simply enjoy Antarctica without taking many photographs at all.
World Voyager
World Voyager is a modern expedition vessel designed for exploring the polar regions
It combines the capabilities needed for an Antarctic expedition with comfortable suites, welcoming public areas and excellent observation spaces.
The ship accommodates up to 166 guests in 83 suites, making it small enough to create a friendly atmosphere while offering the facilities needed for a comfortable adventure.

The prices below include the Antarctic expedition aboard our privately chartered World Voyager, the included pre-expedition hotel night in Buenos Aires, return charter flights between Buenos Aires and Ushuaia, and the specified group transfers.
International flights are not included
Guests will be responsible for arranging and paying for their own international flights to and from Buenos Aires.
When earlier indicative prices were shared, approximately £1,300 per person was allowed for international flights. That amount has now been removed because guests will arrange their own flights.
Infinity Suite
Located on Decks 5 and 6, and approximately 270 sq. ft. (25 sq. m) in size, these cabins have one double or two single beds, and a floor-to-ceiling glass Juliet balcony. A sitting area with sofa, refrigerator, TV, state of the art “infotainment” system, and private bathroom with shower is also featured in each cabin.

Veranda Suite
Located on Decks 5 and 6, and approximately 215 sq. ft. (20 sq. m) in size, these cabins have one double or two single beds, and a 55 sq. ft. (5 sq. m) walk-out balcony. A sitting area with sofa, refrigerator, TV, state of the art “infotainment” system, and private bathroom with shower is also featured in each cabin.

Superior Suite
Located on Decks 5 and 6, and approximately 270 sq. ft. (25 sq. m) in size, these cabins have one double or two single beds, and a 100 sq. ft. Owner's Suite

Availability is limited in every category. Sole-occupancy suites are particularly limited and are expected to sell quickly.
What is a Juliet balcony?
The Infinity Suite has a floor-to-ceiling Juliet-style balcony window. The upper section can be lowered, allowing you to enjoy fresh air and uninterrupted views from inside your suite.
It does not have an external balcony that you can step onto.
Walk-out balconies
Veranda, Superior, Deluxe and Owner’s Suites feature a private external balcony that you can step onto.

Optional Adventure activities
Subject to availability, guests may be able to reserve optional activities including:
- Camping in Antarctica
- Sea kayaking
- Paddling
- Stand-up paddleboarding
These activities have limited capacities and additional charges. Availability, prices, physical requirements and booking arrangements will be confirmed separately.
The standard Zodiac excursions and scheduled shore landings are already included in the expedition price.
International flights
Guests must arrange their own international flights to and from Buenos Aires.
Please do not book flights until we have provided the confirmed arrival and departure guidance.
We strongly recommend:
- Choosing flexible or changeable tickets
- Arriving in Buenos Aires before the required arrival day
- Allowing additional time after the expedition
- Checking luggage restrictions carefully
- Purchasing comprehensive travel insurance when booking
The included charter flights between Buenos Aires and Ushuaia may have lower luggage limits than international airlines. The confirmed allowance will be supplied in the final travel documentation.
Travel insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance will be compulsory.
Your policy must provide suitable cover for:
- Expedition travel in Antarctica
- Emergency medical treatment
- Medical evacuation and repatriation
- Trip cancellation and interruption
- Travel delays
- Lost or delayed baggage
- Any optional activity in which you plan to participate
You should arrange insurance as soon as your booking is confirmed and ensure that you understand the policy’s exclusions.
Booking and deposits
More than 400 guests have registered for priority access, Suites will be allocated strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
An initial deposit of 5% of the total expedition price will be required to secure your booking.

The included charter flights between Buenos Aires and Ushuaia form part of the expedition package.

Not at all. The expedition is open to anyone who would enjoy visiting Antarctica as part of our friendly group.
Yes. Scheduled Zodiac cruising and shore landings are included, subject to weather, sea, ice and operational conditions.
The Expedition Team will organise the daily programme in accordance with Antarctic visitor regulations and local conditions. Landing arrangements may involve groups or rotations, depending on the location.
No specific wildlife encounter can be guaranteed. However, the Antarctic Peninsula is home to penguins, seals, whales and an extraordinary variety of seabirds.
Conditions vary considerably. It can be calm, but it can also experience strong winds and significant movement. Anyone concerned about seasickness should discuss suitable medication with a doctor or pharmacist before travelling.
Yes. You will have a 15-day cooling-off period beginning on the date your booking confirmation is issued.
If you cancel in writing during this period, your 5% deposit will be refunded in full. From day 16, the deposit becomes non-refundable and our standard cancellation terms will apply.
No. Because more than 400 people have registered for priority access, suites cannot be held without the required deposit.
A limited number of Infinity and Veranda Suites are available at the published sole-occupancy prices. These are expected to be among the first suites reserved.
